love transforms

To love is to be transformed by what we love. - St. John of the Cross

The great commandment is to love God with our heart, soul, and mind, and the "how" is heeding His instruction to "be still".

We mature in piety when our prayer time is spent less in speaking and more in listening and, as a result, our love for God deepens and grows.

Prayer is, in its most profound, the steadfast refusal to abandon God's Presence; the True Self that already knows we are beloved and one with God. The Holy Spirit is God’s very own life shared with us and residing within us.

This love for God transforms us, perfects us, returns us back to God's very own image and likeness.

Matthew 22:37-38 "You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment."

Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.”
