Agape love brings us into God's divine presence, for God is unconditional love.

Unconditional love is open, transparent, opinion-free attention, and the awe from agape comes with the deep desire to know and understand more. We move deeper and deeper into the truth of each other’s hearts.

All is revealed: our crowning glories, our failings, our frustrations, our hopes, our emotions — our highest yearnings, our greatest regrets.

Love may reveal painful things, but it also assuages that pain. Thus agape love leads to spiritual and personal progress.

1 Corinthians 13:12 "Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely."
