Today, so many things, especially cell phones, make it challenging and difficult to get or give attention and be totally aware of the persons we are with.
We often give in to distractions in the presence of others. It takes effort to put aside our wandering thoughts in order to be fully present and to give the generosity of our attention.
With love, however, giving our attention comes naturally, freely, and fully. Growing in love with God and with others is in the attention we provide.
Luke 10:41-42 But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.”
