The truthfulness involved in our relationships with others is not something separate from spirituality or faith. On the contrary, following Jesus is indispensable to our life, including the way we engage in human relationships.
We live in a time when Christian identity has become polarizing politically and socially, and for reasons that don’t truly reflect the Jesus of the New Testament nor of our Christian life.
Whatever our political, cultural, or social considerations are, the call of Jesus to be the light of the world requires us to rise above these divergences and actually be people with whom others might discover something good, something real and truthful, that is transformative for their lives.
John 8:12 “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”
