The older we get, the more we are likely to be disappointed and betrayed by life and others, and the more we become attached to long-held biases. We all look at the world through our own lens, a matrix of culturally inherited qualities, family influences, and other life experiences.
There are three images that form our biases: our image of self, our image of God, and our image of the world.
Meditating on the Gospel transforms those images into a very exciting and, truthful worldview. When Jesus spoke of the coming of the Reign of God He was changing people’s foundational worldview then, today, and tomorrow.
Psalm 16:11 “You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.”
