In Romans 8:22, Paul said, “For we know that all creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.” That is the idea of creation as giving birth slowly through labor pains. To this day, the issue of evolution continues to divide some Christians, questioning what is rather obvious: that God creates things that create themselves. This is the great way about God’s creation—He gives autonomy, freedom, and grace to things to keep self-creating
Healthy parents love their children so much that they want them to keep growing, producing, and performing to their best potential. Mature parents are generative about their children and say as Jesus did: “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works!” (John 14:12). True love empowers and delights in the larger and independent successes of those they love.
For a long time, most people were satisfied with a very static universe. Yet, Jesus understood reality as dynamic and evolutionary. The universe continues to unfold, until “In the end, there will only be Christ. He is everything and he is in everything” (Colossians 3:11).
1 Corinthians 15:28 “Then, when all things are under his authority, the Son will put himself under God’s authority, so that God, who gave his Son authority over all things, will be utterly supreme over everything everywhere.”
