Celebration is a core aspect of spirituality. The things we celebrate reveal a piece of who we are, a piece of what we value and believe in the most.
As a Christian, celebration is an important aspect of how we live our faith, for the core of celebration is God. His goodness and faithfulness in who He is and in our lives, celebration is meant to give glory to Him.
Glorifying God is enjoying Him and His presence. Enjoying God is to know God intellectually, to admire God in his beauty, to delight in him emotionally, and to dedicate oneself to him; in essence, to enjoy God is to praise God for the God that he is.
Philippians 4:4 "Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!"
