The root of the word character is the Greek word kharaktēr ‘a stamping tool.’ From the early sense it meant ‘distinctive mark’ especially of a person's ‘distinguishing qualities’. In Spanish cara means 'face'
Character is what defines us; it’s what people see in us, and it’s what people will say about us after we pass away. More importantly, it is what God sees in us always.
Romans 5:3-5 – “More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”
