dreams and faith

Many people mistakenly think that dreaming, aspiring, goal-setting are unspiritual because it shows a lack of trust. And instead, they believe that faith is waiting for God to lead them.

Granted, God doesn’t want us to forge ahead in pride without consulting Him for direction. But neither does He want us to sit around waiting because He’s given us gifts and talents and for a purpose beyond ourselves.

Both forging ahead without seeking God, and sitting back doing nothing can stem from fear and lack of faith. However, dreaming, aspiring, setting goals, and consulting with Him shows that we trust Him and believe that He is able to lead us while we move forward in life.

Proverbs 29:18 "Where there is no vision, the people perish; but one who listens to instruction will be happy."
