Faith calls us to look at both sides of life clearly and honestly by integrating the inner and the outer. Faith provides us the ability to face the joy and wonder of life as well as its pain, injustice, and absurdity.
We will continue to see and not make sense of the terrible pain, injustice, and absurdity as part of the entire world and the lives of those around us.
But with faith, we're drawn to an inner place of grace where the paradox is simply held by Love. Love draws us to Pax Christi, the peace of Christ that comes from love, operates in love, and leads to the very core characteristic of love: flowing endlessly outward.
Revelations 22:1 "Then the angel showed me a river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb."
