entrusting

“Trust” is something we believe while “entrust” is something we do because we believe.

Believing and trusting in God is easy, but to entrust some situations or people completely into God’s care is more challenging. When we entrust something, it no longer belongs to us but to God. We release our self, a situation, or a person completely.

Trusting God requires a change in our thinking while entrusting our self to God requires a change in our behavior. To entrust, therefore, is proof of faith.

Isaiah 26:3 "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you."

Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
