The most powerful, most required, and most essential teaching is always about Love. Love is our source and love is our destiny.

God, whose essence is love, dwells in each of us as the Holy Spirit who, according to Jesus, “will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you” (John 14:26). Love is who we are.

All that ministry can do is promote and remind people of what they already know deep within their True Self and invite them to live connected to this Source. “God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.” (1 John 4:16).

We know that we are “created in the image and likeness of God” but we do not get the existential awe of what this says about us. It is saying that we were created by a loving God to be love in the world. Our core is original blessing, not original sin.

The great illusion we must all overcome is the illusion of separateness. It is religion’s primary task to communicate not worthiness but union, to reconnect people to their original identity “hidden with Christ in God” (Colossians 3:3). The Bible’s term for this state of separateness is “sin.”

God is working to draw us back into this primal and intimate relationship.

1 John 3:2 “Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is.”
