Leaning on our own understanding is relying on our self. To trust in the Lord with all our heart is complete surrender, it is yielding to God and His power.
Learning to surrender is a necessary step towards faith. When we do stay still and abandon to Him, we do not just get to know God, we also yield to His power at work in us and our life.
