When dealing with past mistakes which haunt us, the goal isn’t denying our memory that it happened, but rather reinterpretation.
The healing that comes with God's restoration requires our seeing the past through God's loving grace. The residue of guilt from our past mistakes can never thwart the perfect plan of God.
God not only uses the good in our life, but He also uses what we deem bad. Truth is, blessings are hidden in our every mistake, and we need to seek His wisdom to know them and be amazed.
Romans 8:38-39 "Nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord."
