Along with Job and Proverbs, Ecclesiastes belongs to the genre of “wisdom literature” found in the Bible. Wisdom literature generally presents life lessons learned through experience and observation, with the view that “wise” and principled living brings happiness, contentment, and prosperity.
Furthermore, Ecclesiastes 12:7 beautifully discloses the return of the "created image and likeness" to its origin, to its source, to its creator.
Ecclesiastes 12:7 "For then the dust will return to the earth, and the spirit will return to God who gave it."
