Today, even religion and spirituality have been taken over by the culture of addition: gaining God's favor, attaining enlightenment, producing moral discipline. But true spirituality is much more about letting go.
Sadly, much of our local religious culture has become more of spiritual commercialism than the spirituality modeled by Jesus and sought from us by our faith - kenosis, the spirituality of self-emptying.
True faith is not so much in what we believe and achieve, but more in release and surrender. The way to truth, the way of WISdom is to dwell in the DOMain of the WISe, to dwell in God's presence. Faith, all the while is simply letting God by letting go.
Philippians 2:5-7 "You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Though He was God, He did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, He emptied Himself; He took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being."
