lifted veil

Sacraments are outward, visible signs of inward, invisible grace. There are different sacramental rituals in Christianity. The Catholic Church has seven sacraments, while fewer in other churches.

Since sacraments reveal grace, they could be beyond the formal sacraments such as Baptism, Matrimony, Communion, or the Anointing of the Sick. Rooted in the Incarnation, sacramentality is encountering Divine Presence in the world: in every person, creature, plant, and created object.

Walking around nature makes our senses come alive; there is a sense of God’s incarnate presence in creation that shimmers forth to reveal the holiness of all things.

We see and experience the goodness of creation beyond its sorry state. Such is the wonder of living in the Spirit, such is the magnificence of being in God, of being in love; all our senses reveal how God and His abundance are alive in the world around us.

Hebrews 10:20 "By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the veil that is His flesh into the Most Holy Place."
