An indispensable tool that helps us nurture our personal relationship with God is knowing that we do not see things as they are but as we are. This helps us be aware of the ways we humanize God, when we unawaredly think that He acts and reacts as men do.
Among the many ways we humanize God is regarding His love. If love is the absence of judgment, then God does not judge, He does not keep a record of wrongs, only men do.
The final judgment, then, may not be an act of God, but the fulfillment and perpetuation of man's earthly choice.
1 Corinthians 2:9 “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”
