Jesus demonstrated and provided us with the courage to trust our inherent union with God. A union of deep and infinite goodness that we are already within and are in the process of fully incarnating.
The development of love-consciousness is the true Second Coming of Christ. The goal of Biblical revelation is toward a full mutual indwelling. The theme climaxes in the realization that “the mystery is Christ within you, your hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). As John excitedly puts it, “You know him because he is with you and he is in you!” (John 14:17).
The eternal mystery of incarnation will finally meet its mark, and “the marriage feast of the Lamb will begin” (Revelation 19:9).
History is not heading toward an Armageddon kind of conclusion, but, as Jesus said on several occasions, it will be a great wedding banquet.
John 14:17 “He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for Him and doesn’t recognize Him. But you know Him, because He lives with you now and later will be in you.”
