“Love is the highest form of knowing,” Saint Augustine wrote. Meaning that the love by which we reach God implies a form of knowing beyond ordinary logic.
In meditation, our soul communes with God through the dynamic of love, whereby our thoughts are converted into a certain spiritual and divine understanding which is beyond reason.
When we love we understand by way of love than by way of reason because the eye of the heart can see the truth of reality. Therefore, the loving are wise for they know and see the radiance of God in everything.
Proverbs 9:10 "The beginning of wisdom is the awe of Lord and the knowledge of the righteous is understanding."
