As we seek to stay in the Lord's presence, to stay near to Him, to be in Him, is the only way to have joy.
There is a difference between joy and happiness. Happiness is circumstantial; one is based on what is happening around and outside of us, while joy is eternal and is constant. It will never leave us based on our surroundings and circumstances because as long as we align with Him, we have the joy of the Lord.
Psalm 16:11 “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence, there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
