on death

"One is never afraid of the unknown; one is afraid of the known coming to an end." Philosopher Krishnamurti helps us understand the truth about change, especially death.

Death petrifies us thinking that when we die, we lose everything - our friends, our family, memories, our past, our future, we lose the world and life, as we know it, for all eternity.

Growing in love with God banishes fear. Love lets us grow in confidence, even of the unknown. Better yet, love lets us begin to see beyond illusion, we begin to understand the unknown. We begin to appreciate the changes we need to go through, even death.

With this understanding, appreciation, and gratitude we start living in abounding grace, peace, and happiness.

Hebrews 2:14-15 "Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying."
