pain's value

We all seek to avoid pain, but our pain is just as valuable as our joy.

The undesirable feelings of pain are on the opposite side of our range of emotions from joy and ecstasy. But, truly, all emotions belong to the same energetic substance.

Pain is a powerful motivator: it can spur us into action, prompt us to change course, widen our perception, and in many cases, make us more accepting and less judgemental and align us to a meaningful purpose. Pain teaches and provides us with what pleasure or comfort never can.

The ultimate pain most of us fear but can not avoid is death, although death is our ultimate healing; it is the gateway to eternal life and paradise.

John 12:24-25 "I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels—a plentiful harvest of new lives. Those who love their life in this world will lose it. Those who care nothing for their life in this world will keep it for eternity."
