personal faith

There is an abundance of grace in the search for understanding and believe there is more value in questioning than in absolutes.

Understanding is essential in love and allows love to grow — love gets better when people understand themselves and their beloved.

Jesus himself valued asking and seeking as the way to wisdom and truth, the way to know God, and understand His Word. He praised His disciples for asking Him about the meaning of His parables, even saying that the questioners had found the secret of the Kingdom of God! He rebuked the Pharisees when they stopped asking questions and silently held on to their legalism.

Jesus summarized and made it very clear about the priority and importance of asking questions and seeking in a very well-known Bible passage.

Matthew 7:7-8 “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened."
