God doesn’t simply bless us just so we can say we are a blessed people. There are two main reasons why God blesses us. We are blessed because he loves us, and so we can be a blessing to others. Likewise, He instructs us, so we can instruct others; He comforts us, so we can comfort others.
Blessings flow from God, but they should never stop with us. They come to us and must flow through us.
This is the light that is the mark of a child of God. What a blessing it is to be a blessing.
1 Peter 4:10 "God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another."
2 Thessalonians 1:11 "So we keep on praying for you, asking our God to enable you to live a life worthy of his call. May he give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do."
