The Gospel demands so much of and from us. It calls us to an unpopular, "unworldly' and unselfish path. So much so that Jesus said, “The world is going to hate you.”
When we surrender completely to God, we will no longer play the game of judging, labeling, and punishing others, we will become alienated. But Jesus taught us how to hold the pain of the world until we are transformed and resurrected - until we are born again.
Our resurrection is our new birth brought about by what Jesus labeled “the hidden leaven” - the resurrecting power that will keep us and the world from its path toward self-destruction.
Matthew 13:43 "Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father."
Luke 13:20-21 “What else is the Kingdom of God like? It is like the yeast a woman used in making bread. Even though she put only a little yeast in three measures of flour, it permeated every part of the dough.”
