We all have our tragic flaws and blind spots. We always need more “light” or enlightenment about ourselves and about the endless mystery of God.
Being human and divine, we go about our days mostly following our flawed thinking and ego-driven emotions, and occasionally we are guided by the prompts of our soul.
Yes, we are, though occasionally, guided by the fruits of Holy Spirit which dwells in our soul (the measure of God in us.) We are, sometimes, guided by love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
It is in these times when we are guided by light and truth that we see things differently and act accordingly.
May we grow in more awareness of this truth about our self and spend more of our moments realizing - seeing with "real eyes."
Psalm 43:3 "Send out your light and your truth; let them guide me."
