Spiritual wisdom allows us to hold questions and contradictions patiently, unlike the ego which wants to find quick certitudes and rush to closure or judgment.
This is why so much religion remains immature and is a refuge for many “control freaks” instead of people who have learned to give up control to a Loving Presence.
Spiritual maturity teaches us how to navigate the unknown. The ego cannot deal with paradox.
We are not robbed of freedom and happiness whenever we could fully accept every moment as it is and in its wholeness. Whenever we choose or allow or surrender to each moment, we can hold it in its entirety—the good and bad, the satisfying and unsatisfying, both what fulfills and what disappoints us.
Faith and love are one. Faith is being led by the Spirit of God, the Spirit of Love, and is fully devoid of fear; it relishes and revels in the unknown.
1 John 4:18 "There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love."
