A heart transformed by the realization of oneness knows that only love within us can see and enjoy love and beauty outside of us.
Fear, limitation, and malice are seen by spiritual teachers and mystics to be inherent sightlessness that must be overcome. Their spiritual warfare is precisely the work of recognizing and surrendering all of their inner negativity and fear to God.
The paradox here is that this triumph is a gift from God, and yet we must desire and work towards it.
