Separation is the sadness of mankind. The feeling of separation from our self, from our family, from reality, from God, makes us unsettled because God created everything for union with Him.
Christ came to personify that union, to put human and divine together. This is the truth we spend our whole life searching and trying to understand.
Life is a school of love where every day, every moment of our life is meant to reveal that "we are children of God, we are siblings of Christ, we're already home, and we are free!"
We need to desire, seek, and yield to this ultimate meaning, otherwise, our sense of meaninglessness and suffering would continue. Suffering is the shedding of the soul to make room for love, in order for us to be in union with God.
John 3:16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life."
