A way to understand the depth of God's love is knowing that He loves us even though He knew that we wouldn't love Him in return.
In our quest to understand our self, knowing that we are recipients and channels of God's grace and love reveals a glorious aspect of our transformation. We discover that our growth in oneness with God allows us to love with His love - we are provided the capacity to hold our beloved so dearly in our heart that we give them complete freedom, even to the point of not being loved in return.
