The loveless ego needs to be right all the time and uses reason and logic to keep us from being harmed, physically, or emotionally whenever we are confronted by the unfamiliar.

Scripture, however, encourages us to "fear not" 365 times, one for each day of the year.

Not only does the ego default to the familiar to make sense of what is not, it even goes to the extreme by using hurts and hang-ups to cause us to think of God's condemnation and punishment - an absolute lie.
