We are admonished in scripture about judging others while failing to discern our own spiritual blindness - “Why do you seek the speck in your brother’s eye, but fail to see the beam of wood in your own?”
One great obstacle to spiritual growth is our own perception. We fail spiritually when we anchor our faith solely in what we know and believe.
All wise men in history were one in professing that much as they are rich in knowledge, their ignorance remains.
One virtue that grows from our personal relationship with God is humility, an important attribute of a disciple; for through humility, we remain open to the guidance and unending revelation of truth, the unending revelation of our unfathomable God.
1 Corinthians 2:14 "But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means."
