We live in a culture that fuses our identity to what we do. We are told that our identity lies in our gross profit, our amount of social media followers, and even our church attendance.
All of these things can be a result of a healthy identity, but they do not create identity itself.
If we search for our identity in these places, we will come up dry every time.
There was a God-breathed identity on our life before we could even take a breath of your own. There is nothing we can do that would add to this.
Luke 12:7 "And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows."
Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
