Love teaches us that we are much more than the stories we tell about ourselves.
These stories are not our truth where life happens. Our truth, our life is a “flowing spring inside us” (John 4:10–14) the “river of life” (Revelation 22:1–2).
Faith is trusting the flow of God’s providential love, trusting the unseen personification (Christ), the flow (Holy Spirit), and the source itself (Father).
It is of no worth, then, to hold on to fears that keep us from loving. It is our fallen nature that wants to manufacture answers or stories based on judgment and foolish reasoning to take away our anxieties.
Faith allows us to tolerate ambiguity and rise above the futile efforts of our illusory self to set things in order. Faith is finding peace in the River of Love, God's life-giving presence.
John 4:14 "But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.”
