“To be a person is to have a story to tell.” - Isak Dinesen
Storytelling is among man's oldest, most powerful, most heart-exchanging tool, it gives us and others what no technology can - ourselves.
All writers—be they journalists or novelists, poets or essayists or scholars—are, at root, storytellers. Storytelling is a profoundly spiritual act in which tellers bear witness to the experience of being on the Earth and act as the voice of the human soul.
Storytelling is at the heart of Jesus’ communication style. Whether walking dusty roads with his disciples or preaching to a crowd of thousands, Jesus used stories to share his message.
Matthew 13:34 "Jesus always used stories and illustrations when speaking to the crowds. In fact, he never spoke to them without using such parables."
