surrender

Most (if not all) of us have been in situations that seemed hopeless. We prayed to God and sought after his guidance, pleaded for His intervention, but didn’t see the results we hoped for.

It’s crucial to realize that our understanding of good and the truth of God’s goodness can vary greatly. We tend to think that if something undesirable or devastating happens to us there’s no way it could be a part of God’s plan for our life.

That’s not completely true, however.

It is good for us to realize our need for God, to revere Him, to be humbled, to rely on his strength instead of our own. It is good for us not to be stuck in our comfort zone. God is using every situation to draw us closer to Him and shape us into the image of Christ - to lead us to a life of His abundance.

James 1:2-4 "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
