There is a voice within each of us that calls to live in and through us. It summons, invites, bids, calls; it is our true vocation.
Most live life from the outside in, while life is meant to be lived from the inside out.
Life is living itself in us. The limitless forms of life in the universe are merely parts of the One Life—that many of us call “God.”
We don’t have to know or fix everything, or do life perfectly by ourselves. All we have to do is participate in this One Life. To find our unique niche in that Always Larger Life is what “vocation” truly means.
When we do live our vocation, the words in Isaiah become personal and we have heeded God's call.
Isaiah 40:3 "A voice of one calling: 'In the wilderness prepare the way for the LORD; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.'"
